Réserve Déboussolée

That was the starting point of the application Réserve Déboussolée (Disoriented Reserve), which I worked on during my 1-year sandwich course at 1D LAB. [ → See Independant Creation Service post for more informations]. Distilling music as well as other types of contents (video, games) in various places in the city, Réserve Déboussolée aimed at inviting people to playfully discover new things on their way, or while wandering outside.

Réserve Déboussolée has now evolved into Divercities and is available in Paris, Lyon, St-Étienne and Marseille.

Real case, Professional

To engage people in the experience of finding and discovering new music, the idea was to make it appear more tangible, by associating the media content to a ‘capsule’ which the users could ‘catch’ with their phone outside in the city. Réserve Déboussolée was also conceived around a story to grasp users’ attention and commit them in the quest for collecting all the capsules. One day, all the capsules the ‘Réserve’ kept under its protection escaped in the city, could you find them all and bring them back? The application provided a map to guide users during their search and give them a fuller picture of all the capsules left to discover.
